As an experienced reader (this may be an understatement), I have learned to recognise the early signs of a book that’s going to cause trouble.
The Traitor Baru Comorant is definitely one of those books. One of the ones I’ll stay up way too late reading, so that I’m bleary-eyed at work and grumpily impatient to go home and pick it up again.
Probably a good thing that I’ve got a long weekend thanks to my work schedule and Thanksgiving.
Probably not a good thing that I’m fighting a writing deadline. Oops. Time to bribe myself: make word count, get chapters.
Made word count today. Getting my chapters…now.
